Our Vaginal Microbiome Tests use a highly parallelised quantitative PCR-based approach which supports comprehensive vaginal microbiome profiling in a high-throughput format. It's not negatively impacted by host DNA, unlike Shotgun sequencing techniques, and provides accurate absolute reporting of 50+ species with microbial load quantification.
Testing technology
Precision Microbiome Profiling PMP™ is a qPCR-based approach on Thermo Fisher Scientific’s OpenArray® platform. This allows PMP™ to deliver accurate and detailed information about the vaginal microbiome which is readily available for interpretation, and in a faster timeframe than traditional microbiome analysis approaches.
