We are proud partners of Menopause and Cancer, a non-profit organisation founded by Dani Binnington, dedicated to supporting women after cancer.
When Dani Binnington received her cancer diagnosis at the age of 33, her initial focus wasn’t on aiding fellow survivors through a better menopause journey. Her primary drive was ensuring she’d witness her three little girls stepping through the school gates.
Today however, she stands as a passionate advocate for patients, lending her voice to women navigating menopause post-cancer. As the host of the world’s sole Menopause and Cancer podcast, she sheds light on this vital topic.
“We become a woman’s thinking partner. Often, helping to navigate the medical system, looking at all the evidence based solutions available to us, looking at our belief system and finding ways to move forward. Every woman deserves to know her options. I am grateful to have the support of some key specialists to support our work.”
Many women describe the experience of managing menopause after cancer as even more challenging than undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgery. They often express a sense of isolation—feeling like part of a “forgotten tribe.” While hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is widely discussed, it’s not a straightforward or safe option for many cancer survivors.
Dani, the founder of the non-profit organisation Menopause And Cancer, is on a mission to change that. Through her work, she supports and educates women about the options available to them, empowering them to navigate their unique paths through menopause after cancer. She hosts The Menopause And Cancer podcast, which draws over 20,000 monthly downloads and ranks in the top 15% of podcasts globally.
“Menopause is never a one-size-fits-all situation,” Dani says. “We must rely on evidence-based information, make it accessible, and recognise that every woman needs a tailored approach.”
Building on the success of her Empowered Menopause programs, Dani partnered with Trekstock - a charity supporting young adults in their 20s and 30s affected by cancer -to launch the UK’s first menopause program specifically for younger women with cancer. This pioneering initiative earned the “Campaigning for Change” award at the 2023 Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards.
Her voice continues to reach broad audiences through numerous podcast appearances and national media features. She has contributed to a range of publications and appeared on ITV’s This Morning, where she shared her story and helped shed light on an often-overlooked journey.
Harley Street at Home is a UK-based women's health and menopause support platform providing evidence-based education, community and practical self-care tools for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
Founded in 2020 by Registered Dietitian Nigel Denby, Harley Street at Home was created to deliver trusted menopause support remotely, particularly needed during the COVID-19 pandemic when in-person services were limited. Since then, it has evolved into a respected and widely recognised platform supporting both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and members of the public.
In just a few years, the community has grown to tens of thousands of members and is valued by clinicians for its positive impact on women during this significant life transition.
The platform offers a comprehensive toolkit including expert-led live events, on-demand educational content, workshops and an engaged community. Content is delivered with input from British Menopause Society-accredited specialists and experienced lifestyle practitioners, empowering women with accurate information and practical strategies for symptom management, lifestyle optimisation and long-term wellbeing.
Pelvic Relief is proud to partner with Harley Street at Home to expand education around Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM) to a wider audience across the UK.
Together, we have delivered interactive educational workshops designed to raise awareness of GSM, deepen understanding of symptoms, and explore evidence-based management strategies. A key focus has been increasing awareness of the vaginal microbiome and its role in genitourinary health, alongside practical guidance on how to support this environment to improve long-term outcomes.
We look forward to expanding these sessions to reach more healthcare professionals and members of the public going forward.
This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to advancing women's pelvic and genitourinary health through education, science-led resources and meaningful community engagement.
