Smear test

A smear test refers to cervical screening, a test that checks the health of your cervix. The cervix is the opening to your womb from your vagina. It's not a test for cancer, it's a test to help prevent cancer.

The cervix is the name for the 'neck' of the womb or the opening between the body of the womb (uterus) and the vagina. Many women who are experiencing pelvic pain will find smear tests extremely daunting.
